WELCOME to SENECA HILL’S FIVE-PAW RESORT

Since opening its doors more than a decade ago, Seneca Hill’s pet resort has been the premier place for boarding at competitive prices in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

In a WASHINGTON CONSUMERS’ CHECKBOOK survey of “Vets’ Favorites” Seneca Hill’s boarding facility was the top recommendation of veterinarians in the area, and Seneca Hill has repeatedly been voted one of the “BEST” places for boarding in the WASHINGTONIAN. At Seneca Hill there are NO additional charges for walks, medication administration, play periods or custom diets, and resort hosts and supervisors are attentive to owner’ special requests.

Seneca Hill is the perfect home-away-from-home for pets. The resort offers luxury accommodations with specially designed health and safety features, and our professional staff is dedicated to making your dog or cat feel pampered and relaxed.

To provide expert care and loving attention for each guest the resort has one host for every ten guests. Our hosts help every canine guest enjoy four daily walks and a daily play session of at least half an hour in the outdoor exercise yards with play equipment and real grass (or indoor playrooms in inclement weather). Our feline guests also enjoy daily play sessions and exercise periods in the new Cat Playroom with TV, cat trees, easy chairs and big window views of the outside.

Our guests are treated to top-of-the line Purina EN dry and wet diets and milkbone snacks, or home brought diets if you prefer. Purina EN is a low residue diet specifically selected by Seneca Hill’s medical director for use in the resort. In addition to being very palatable, it is especially suited for sensitive stomachs.

The resort is particularly focused on any special needs your pet may have, and our supervisors are specifically trained in medication administration. In the event of a medical emergency there is an AAHA-accredited full service veterinary hospital on the premises.

While they’re visiting the resort our guests are invited to enjoy all of the Spa’s amenities, including the Vanity Fur Salon. Our canine guests are also invited to enjoy an energizing swim at the Seneca Hill Aquatic Center.

And if you’re in a rush checking in and need to pick up some last-minute food, treats, toys or other items for your pet, a quick stop at our boutique will make that task easy and enjoyable!

RESORT HEALTH and SAFETY FEATURES

Our state-of-the-art facility was designed with special features that help assure the safety and wellbeing of each Seneca Hill guest:

  • In our fully-enclosed building, twenty-four heating and air conditioning units provide year-round comfort with complete air changes every five minutes. Ultra-violet lights in all ducts help kill odor-causing and other airborne bacteria.
  • To eliminate bacteria and odor collection areas, our facility was also designed without gutters and exposed concrete.
  • Security cameras inside and outside the building help keep all of our guests safe.
  • On-site personnel are in the building on a 24/7 basis, even when the building is not open to the public.
  • All of the exits have double or triple doors.
  • An emergency power generator is available to keep Seneca Hill running as usual in the event of a power outage.
  • Two maintenance teams, using power floor scrubbers with antibacterial washes, clean the resort from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm every day. To help keep our guests relaxed, our maintenance teams never use high-pressure hoses for cleaning.
